About Lauren, BS, IBCLC
Lauren is a certified birth doula, a board-certified lactation consultant, and health educator. She has been attending births since 2009 after receiving her doula training from author and DONA co-founder Penny Simkin. Lauren received her credential as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) in 2012.
In addition to acting as a "hired doula" for expectant families, Lauren volunteers as a birth doula for lower-income families and work with a collective of doulas that provides support to people experiencing the a spectrum of pregnancy outcomes.
Lauren understands the needs and desires of each family are unique, and she strives to be the kind of person who can play whatever role those needs and desires dictate. In other words," I am 100% non-judgmental; do not hesitate to ask anything of me!"
