Peaceful Beginnings is a Center for the Childbearing Year. We offer resources and support to families interested in fertility, pregnancy, postpartum and newborn care.
At our center, some of our services include Lactation Consulting Services, Massage Therapy for the entire family, Prepared childbirth classes including Hypnotist® Classes and Lamaze® Classes. In addition, we offer classes on Breastfeeding, Newborn Care and Newborn Massage.
Therapeutic massage specialties include Fertility/Pre-conception, Pregnancy, Postnatal Massage, Swedish, as well as Newborn Infant Massage Instructions.
Check out our boutique, where you can find nursing bras, affordable breast pump, cloth diapers, baby carriers by ERGO and Moby Wraps,and nursing loungewear.
Group Lactation Consultation
—Wednesdays: 1pm- 3pm
This is not a support group, but lactation consulting in a group setting. These groups allows mothers who want to breastfeed their babies but are challenged by an assortment of issues to receive the help they need to reach their breastfeeding goals. A certified lactation consultant (IBCLC) will assist you and your baby in a small group setting. An example of the issues we can assist with are difficulty with latch, sore or painful breastfeeding, slow or inadequate weight gain, low milk supply, over supply issues, plug ducts, engorgement, premature babies, back to work and breast pump issues and more.
FEE: $25.00 per group visit. We also offer private sessions in the comfort of your home or our office at 515 College Rd, Suite 4, Greensboro, NC. Contact Linda to discuss your problem so she can determine if you are a candidate for the group session. Lactation Consulting may be covered under your Health Care Flexible Spending Account (HCFSA).
New! Newborn Breastfeeding Support Class
For moms and newborns (birth through 6weeks)
Tues and Thurs: 1-3pm
FEE: $15.00 for feeding assessment and recommendations. $15.00 goes toward private lactation consultatation IF indicated. Lactation Consulting is a covered expense under your Health Care Flexible Spending Account (HCFSA)
Peaceful Beginnings Mothering Series
—These classes are FREE
A new series of classes exploring the experience of motherhood. Pre-mommies, new- mommies and old-pros welcomed! Daddies are also welcomed. These classes are led by various local professionals and a new topic will be explored each month. Babies and toddlers are always welcomed
Classes are every 3rd Wednesday of the month from 11-12. See our class schedule for topics and speaker.

At our boutique, you are encouraged to bring your baby and try out the different baby carriers before making your purchase.
So many cloth diapers to choose from. At Peaceful Beginnings, you are invited to see and touch the diapers as well as get a "class" on cloth diapering by Linda or Heather.
We are an official Medela Rental Station where you can rent or purchase Medela breast pumps and purchase supplies.

Our fees
We operate on a fee for service basis. Fees for breastfeeding services, massage therapy and classes are listed for each service. Fees for home visits are determined at the time of appointment. Packages and gift certificates are available. Prices are subject to change.
What form of payment do we accept?
The preferred method of payment is by cash or check as this method keeps our prices low. However, we also accept most major credit cards including health care flexible spending accounts (HCFSA). When requested, we will provide a receipt that you can provide to your health care provider for allowable reimbursement.
