Essentials of Breastfeeding:

Prepare for your breastfeeding experience ; Position & latch techniques to help you successfully breastfeed ;Signs to look for so you know that breastfeeding is going well and how to get support. For all mom-to-be and support persons.

Breastfeeding After the Essentials:

• Back to work issues; Choosing a Breast pump; Introducing a bottle, etc. Until further notice. information on this class will be provided during the Essentials of Breastfeeding Class.

Breastfeeding consultation - group session

This service is full lactation services in a group setting. 

These small lactation consultation groups enable moms who are faced with breastfeeding challenges to receive lactation consultation in a group setting with a lactation consultant. Each mother receives the support she needs as well as an individual treatment plan to meet her needs.

Fee: $30.00 per group session

Dates: Mondays, 1pm -3pm

Breastfeeding Support Group- NEW!!!

At Peaceful Beginnings, we are excited to offer a Breastfeeding Support Group for moms. This is a time to meet other moms for comfort and reassurance. Lactation Consultants or Lactation Educators will lead disussions and answer questions. All mothers and mothers-to-be are welcome. Babies and children are welcome too!

Why Childbirth Class at Peaceful Beginnings

Giving birth and holding your baby for the very first time is something a mother never forgets.

Grantley Dick Read, MD, a pioneer in childbirth coined the term "Natual Childbirth" upon publishing his book Natural Childbirth in the 1930's. In 1942, he published Childbirth Without Fear.  He found that women who came into birth with fear, created tension in their body, which led to a more painful labor. We call this the Fear-Tension-Pain Syndrome.The term Natural Childbirth is based on the notion that women who are prepared are able to birth their baby without external intervention.

At Peaceful Beginnings, we offer both HypnoBirthing.

HypnoBirthing® Classes

Learn techniques that guide you to a soothing, relaxed and focused birth. HypnoBirthing is a safe, easy, comfortable and more relaxing method of childbirth. Techniques you learn include guided imagery, visualization and special breathing.

Childbirth Class fee is $125.00 for the series,a $50.00 (goes toward the class fee) non-refundable deposit to hold your place. Fee includes breastfeeding classes,(see schedule). Minimum 3 couples per series.  Additional Fee for Private classes based on travel and class arrangements.
